20 Weeks Pregnant Ultrasound – What Are We Having?
The whole family loaded up in the car this morning for a very exciting 20 weeks pregnant ultrasound!
Weโre one of those sets of parents that genuinely didnโt have a strong preference one way or the other โ as long as this kid is healthy and makes it to term, thatโs all we care about.
Phil, on the other hand, is another story.
Phil has been very much dead set on having a brother. A little boy, that would be the same size as baby Gideon at church. Who would also conveniently be named Gideon.
Josh and I agreed that well, yeah. Having another boy sure would be convenient, because weโve got all those boy baby clothes in boxes and bags in the attic. Aside from some old clothing samples Iโve got from my OshKosh B’Gosh days, weโve got nothing in the way of little girl stuff.
Last weekend was the first time since weโve told Phil weโre having a baby that he acknowledged that the baby in muhmuhโs tummy might just be a girl.
Thankfully, when I asked him would we still love and take care of it if it was a girl, he said yes.
So with all that under our belts, we rolled on down to Savannah this morning for our 20 weeks pregnant ultrasound!
Iโm totally stalling.
WHAT ARE WE HAVING??!?!
Itโs funny you should ask that, because hereโs what they found when they put the ultrasound wand on my rotund belly:
Thatโs right folks, Iโve been eating way too many Wendyโs hamburgers. Weโre having a food baby!
But seriously, itโs a girl!

We are so happy and we bet Grandma Carole will spoil her rotten with beautiful clothes.
I kinda can’t wait to venture into the cute girly clothes sections at the stores!!!
That’s so Exciting Steph! I’m sure Phil will still be able to play cars with her. Girls are so fun…until puberty. Just call me when it gets around that time and I’ll remind you that you’re not the “WOrst Mother Ever” and that she’ll talk to you again…one day…in about 10 years. But seriously. You’ll get to have a mini Steph! Congrats sweetie!
AHAHAHAHA! With any luck, we’ll be on speaking terms all through the high school years!
Yeah!!! Doing a little dance for you!!! One of each is really fun!!!
Thank you!!! Pretty sure we’re stopping at two kids, so it’s fun that we get to have the best of both worlds!
YAY! Steph, I’m SO thrilled for you regardless, but even more so now that I can give YOU a few hand-me-downs!
