Childrens Illustration Portfolio

Welcome to my childrens illustration portfolio! I love creating fun and engaging illustrations – bright colors, big expressions, and including visual humor is my jam! “Cooking with Mom” won the 2004 Liz Conrad Award for illustration from my region of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

Illustration has been a big part of my entire career. From illustrating e-books for an educational kid’s website in 2000 to drawing graphics and repeat patterns for corporate apparel clients including OshKosh BGosh and Mighty Fine… Once I earned my BFA in Computer Art / 2D Animation from SCAD I’ve never stopped drawing at work.

This childrens illustration portfolio features published pieces I illustrated for Capstone Publishing and work I created for They Draw. I’m also sharing self-directed illustrations for book dummies I’ve created as an author-illustrator. (Are you an illustration agent or literary agent? Let’s talk!)

This is only a small selection of my favorite children’s illustration work. If you’re looking for something specific, give me a shout. I probably have art samples that are just what you’re looking for!

I love childrens illustration projects with a sense of humor and books that hit you in the feels. My favorite children’s books include Where the Wild Things Are, Crankenstein, Frog on a Log, and Rosie Revere, Engineer. I absolutely love Dan Santat, Mary Blair, Bob Shea, Claire Mackie, and Maira Kalman, and is it okay if I LOL at every single Captain Underpants everything? Because I fully do.

My illustration projects thrive on a schedule with concrete workable deadlines, open communication, and I’m always happy to work on edits and revisions to make our project sing. I may just be the most professional artist you’ll ever work with. I’m not kidding.

I would love to collaborate with you on your next children’s book project! You can contact me here to get started.
