Commission an Artist

If you’re looking to commission an artist, I would love to work with you! My main painting medium is acrylics on wrapped canvas, canvas board, or wood but I also love to draw and paint in other mediums. Commissioned paintings are so great for portraits of pets or loved ones, memories of favorite places you’ve visited or lived, moments you’ve captured in your own photos, and more! I’ve created commissioned pieces for collectors including Brian Viveros, Kroger, and others.

Here are some popular sizes of finished art pieces:

9″ x 12″ custom artwork

$325

18″ x 24″ custom artwork

$1,300

24″ x 48″ custom artwork

$3,500

These numbers may have given you a good deal of sticker shock! There are many, many size options we can talk about for your artwork. My basic painting pricing structure is to multiply inches tall by inches wide, then multiply that total by 3. (Other factors are in play, but that gives you a great start.) Playing with those values on a calculator can help you plan our project so it fits your budget. (Tiny paintings are still big on heart, and a 5″ x 7″ painting of your loved one only sets you back $100.)

Keep in mind – you want to work with an experienced artist who will create a piece with a harmonious color palette that will be a special part of your family forever. You’re looking for someone with experience in art and design, that will not use any copyrighted material in your work. What’s the point of going through the trouble of commissioning an artist for cheap to end up with an unoriginal painting you don’t love?

My commissioned art projects are lively, colorful, and fun – they may be for private art collectors, but all of my work all thrives on a schedule with concrete workable deadlines and open communication. I’m always happy to suggest the best way forward and work on client revisions to make our project sing. Your project starts with lots of research and pencil sketches that we’ll discuss and revise before paint is put to canvas.

I may just be the most professional artist you’ll ever work with. I’m not kidding.
