Frequently Asked Questions

What do we bring to class?

All supplies are included with your class fee.

What do I wear?

Please wear clothes that can get messy!

Is there any difference in the Monday and Tuesday classes? We can make it to either one.

The classes on Monday and Tuesday will share the same art supplies and topics we’re learning about, but the projects will be different just in case there’s a student that’s so arty they can’t get enough and want to sign up for both days. The Monday evening classes from 6-7 pm and 7-8 pm are different age groups and will do the same project.

Will we do ceramics projects every month?

Each quarter, I’ll be sharing projects based on the elements and principles of art and design. Our materials will rotate throughout the quarter, and my goal is one ceramics project each quarter. For Winter 2025, I’ll be doing our ceramics project in the February block of classes.

Is there an automatic way to sign up each week?

The Parks and Recreation registration system lets you sign up for individual classes through the next few months; you have to sign up for each individual date you’re interested in.

I have an art class mailing list – contact me if you’d like to be on it.

My 4 year old is very mature – can I sign them up for the ages 5-9 art class?

I’ve found my art classes are best suited to ages 5 and up, as they typically have a handle on a classroom-style atmosphere and need less hands-on help. My partnership with Henry County Parks and Recreation means we’re using their CivicRec software for signups, which closely follows the age guidelines set up for each class. Thank you for understanding.

I have one child in the 5-9 age range and one in the 10-18 age range. Can they sign up for the older class on Monday together?

My partnership with Henry County Parks and Recreation means we’re using their CivicRec software for signups, which closely follows the age guidelines set up for each class. Thank you for understanding.

If you homeschool, though, my Tuesday homeschool art class is ages 5-18. They CAN both sign up for that one.
