Getting Set Up on the Directory of Illustration

Spending a little time this morning getting myself set up with some new advertising through the Directory of Illustration; I’m pretty excited about the prospect of bringing in even more drawing projects for 2016!

I don’t typically spend anything on advertising – the combo I’ve been rocking of social media, blogging, and referrals from our awesome clients has really been good to us in the past five years. But I really like what I’m seeing with the Directory of Illustration so far, and I’m looking forward to getting more work up on my illustration portfolio over there in the next few weeks.

For now, I’ve got some illustration samples up from the Colorful Cities coloring books I worked on – you can grab signed copies of those here.

Do you have tips for a successful listing on the Directory of Illustration?

If you’ve advertised on that site in the past, I’d love to hear what worked really well for you in terms of bringing in projects. I’d also love to know what didn’t work so well!

My plan of attack is to create a robust portfolio over there that’s really true to my favorite style to work in, chock full of the hand drawn typography and ridiculous humor y’all know us for. That way, any work coming in through that channel will be my very favoritest stuff ever to work on!
