Here we are, at the end of another year! 2015’s been good to our family.
Phil started school with a vengeance, and is rocking our socks off with how much he’s learned in fi- OH MY LORD HE’S BEEN IN SCHOOL FOR FIVE MONTHS ALREADY.
We had tons of great projects, and saw our second book of illustrations hit stores for Colorful Cities.
We now have two regular paid interns that are knocking out projects for us. (It’s not a royal “we” anymore, guys. Hearts and Laserbeams is an actual we.)
We shared snacks and play doh and stories with Joy in the office as she took over Phil’s role of Vice President of Productivity in the office.
We picked up many, many paperclips from the floor thanks to the new VP of Productivity’s love of emptying the paperclip bucket.
I’m closing out Hearts and Laserbeams’ 2015 with a fresh fun painting on our home page and big dreams for the new year.
2016 is all about more arting and less farting, guys.
Instead of curling up in a ball on the couch and stress eating a pound of Oreos at the end of the day, I’m gonna bust out the sketchbook and draw. I’m gonna let myself play with my art supplies for fun, not just work.
I’m gonna make art a priority this year.
And I’m gonna get ridiculous.
I’m excited for you to join me on the adventure!
So happy new year, everyone! What big things do you have on tap for your new year?
