Red and Purple Color Inspiration
I’m excited to share work I’ve been doing as a part of the Lilla Rogers Make Art that Sells classes in upcoming posts! In the meantime, today I’m gathering red and purple color inspiration for my next project.
I’m looking for great examples of the colors together, and individual shades and textures to work into my abstract wall art assignment.
Hope you dig this inspiration, too!
This is a tiny little red shrug that Joy may have outgrown.
And a rose quartz colored princess dress she refuses to wear… I really want to work that Pantone color of the year into my piece!
Cool neutral colored canvas textures from a favorite tote bag…
And a furry inside to one of my sweatshirts.
Some more colors and textures from my closet.
I dig the shapes here.
And some colors and textures from around my home office.
When I’m working on something abstract and layered with lots of texture, I usually throw a shout out to my kids in there since they are the reason I became my own boss. I mean that in the very best of ways, not in the “You did this to me!” kind of way. I’m self employed because of them and it’s awesome.
And they rock out some amazing and inspiring red and purple color combos.
I’m SUPER into this particular shade of red poinsettia next to its purple wrapping.
And this purple plant from our aquarium has some cool shapes to it.
This wine red is from the bag our camping tent is stored in…
And I’m pretty sure I need to do something with the texture of this turtle shell Josh found out by our pond.
I’m going to spend some time painting using this red and purple color inspiration before creating my final piece – can’t wait to share it with you!
