Thanksgiving Coloring Page – What I’m Thankful For

I am a member of the Everywhere Society and they provided me with this product for review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

There’s so much to be thankful for this year, guys. So much. I mean, I thought I had things to be happy about a couple of years ago. Back then, Josh didn’t live in Georgia with us yet. Joy wasn’t born. I was struggling to transition my business from southern California to rural Georgia.

What a difference a couple of years makes, right? I wanted to celebrate what I’m thankful for this year with a new Thanksgiving coloring page for the kids, because it’s never too early to get them to appreciate their amazing lives. (Read through to the end for a link to the coloring page!)

Thanksgiving Coloring Page - What I'm Thankful For - Hearts and Laserbeams

Thumbs up to Phil for his amazing paper turkey sculpture. And that basket my apples are in is pretty great, right? It’s made with sweetgrass and raffia, and incorporates traditional Rwandan weaving techniques. You can pick up all kinds of handmade items from the Heart of Haiti line at Macy’s.

Macy’s is in a committed partnership with the Rwandan weavers. They launched this program in 2005, and have been importing baskets from Rwanda ever since. Today, the Path to Peace project is larger than ever, employing over 2,500 weavers and impacting tens of thousands of lives. Focused on trade, not aid, the Rwanda Path to Peace project puts the power of opportunity into the hands of the women of Rwanda, providing not only income but the chance to take an active role in the shaping of their future.

Think about what you’re thankful for, encourage your kids to do the same. And then consider giving back by picking some of your holiday gifts for others from the Heart of Haiti line at Macy’s.

  1. Hi Steph, what a great cause! The “What I’m Thankful For” turkey is too cute, and I love that the project focuses on the craft of basket weaving, not the aid. Thanks for sharing this!
