Callin’ All College Kids! Internship Opportunity!

I have a t-shirt client whose biz is taking off, and she is in dire need of an intern to help out in the office.

Duties include sketching, taking photos, cutting swatches, sending packages and rearisting the boss in various other tasks. My client is looking for a person who is a quick, eager learner that loves fashion.

This internship is unpaid and the boss will be more than happy to sign off on any needed paperwork to have it count as college credit. There is potential for this to turn into a permanent position in the future.

The hours are flexible depending on the intern, but do need to be set every week. (i.e. If you’re free Monday and Thursday afternoons, that’s your work schedule every week.) The office is located in Boyle Heights, just a little east of downtown L.A. Working on-site is mandatory.

Skills needed for this internship: flat sketching skills and light illustrator/photoshop skills that pertain to cadding and linesheets. Online portfolio is not necessary for this position, but if you have one send it along. A car is necessary, as the successful candidate will need to pick up samples and things from the printer regularly.  The company will cover the expense of mileage.

Since my tee client is swamped, I’m helping with the intern search. If you’re interested, please email heartsandlaserbeams@gmail.com with your info – looking forward to finding someone great to work with my client! Please send me the following info: resume if you have one, online portfolio link if you have one. What college are you going to, what’s your course of study? Describe how your experience thus far relates to the internship, and what your goals are in the future.

Thanks so much in advance!
