Surface Pattern Designer

I’ve been working as a surface pattern designer for years, and it’s so exciting to now focus on creating my own work to be used in product design! I got my surface design start in 2002 as an in-house graphic artist at OshKosh B’Gosh in small-town Wisconsin, and have also worked as an in-house artist at companies including Mighty Fine (tees) and Intercontinental Art (home goods) in southern California.

This page shows just a few places my work as a surface pattern designer has been seen over the past 20+ years. If you’ve got a project in mind and would like to see work samples specific to that, please email hi@stephcalvertart.com.

Alongside my freelance illustration projects, I have been creating some really cute original surface design collections and graphics available for art licensing; I’m currently licensed with Trader Joe’s, Jellybean Rugs, Design Design, Tree-Free Greetings, and Toland Home and Garden. You can visit my complete surface pattern design portfolio on Artonomo.
