Drinking Tea – There’s So Much to Choose From!
I’ve recently gotten back into drinking tea after a pretty good chunk of coffee-only time. I went to a tea party at church during the holidays, and there was ginger peach tea.
Ohhhhhh, tea. I. AM. BACK.
Thanks to that, I’ve started digging into Carole’s massive tea stash in the cupboard. It coincides nicely with Phil’s terrible two tantrums, actually. Don’t get me wrong – I love, love, love being a parent.
But.
At the end of a long day of blowups about wanting to eat ALL THE CAKE, it’s kind of nice to make a hot cup of tea, and sip it in complete and total silence when our little boy goes to bed.
New Year’s Eve marked my first visit to Hot Toddy Town, USA. It was delicious, but a little over the top boozy thanks to my incorrect reading of the recipe. Apparently, a full bottle of whiskey into a cup of tea does not a Hot Toddy make.
Did I still drink it? Of course. Wasting booze is bad, mmmKay?
There are literally bazillions of different teas out there. Black tea, green tea, loose leaf, matcha. I wanna try em all!

A couple more notes on drinking tea
Incidentally, Iย haveย tried the Mother’s Milk tea when I had some problems with supply during my breastfeeding days. Two thumbs up, it really helps.
It’s also kind of cool that you can get just straight chamomile flowers, too! Marcia fromย HomeBody Botanicalsย taught me how to make chamomile mint tea last summer and it was delicious. Basically put a bunch of the chamomile flowers and some mint leaves in a mug, pour hot water on top, steep for 10 minutes. Delicious!
What’s your favorite kind of tea?
