Josh, Gayle, Jay and I ventured to downtown Long Beach last Sunday to take in the Pride parade, and it was amazing! So many good floats, costumes, wigs… it really was a sight to behold! High points included seeing our friend Liz Abbott of Leatherette Heart dancing in the parade, and getting free plastic whistles that Josh and I blew incessantly for the remainder of the parade! The only low point was a couple of hatey demonstrators that showed up to bring down the party. But, high point, when those demonstrators were packing up to leave a huge group of parade-goers stood in a group yelling “go home!” at them.

Which I guess isn’t very nice… but really – if you are that against their lifestyle, stay home. Don’t try to rain on the parade. Uncool dudes, uncool.
