I periodically buy different colors and styles of Dixon Ticonderoga pencils for my students, and so far these are my favorite, unexpectedly. It’s hard to see in the picture how they’re striped by alternating a lighter pastel tone with a darker pastel tone on each side of the pencil, but that creates a pretty and pleasant effect. (If you squint, it almost looks like a shiny metallic color with the light hitting it more directly on the lightly-toned side–but the colors are really just alternating. It’s great.)I’m a pencil nerd, and I find the quality of these pencils to be absolutely uncompromised. Dixon did not skimp to make a neat design, nor did they try to pass off their substandard pencils by painting them in a limited edition color. They’re just great.

If you like nice writing utensils, check these out. There is something about the 2 tone pastel that is amazing. That plus the reliable high quality of the Ticonderoga pencil makes them a win. Top choice for my daughter and I both.

Ticonderoga pencils are my favorite. They look great and sharpen to a fine point. If I bring them to work, they disappear fast 🙂

They work great, just like the classic yellow Ticonderogas! They appear shimmery or iridescent in the pics, but they arent. They are just variations of light then dark paint on every other flat side. Does not impact performance. My package was lost in shipping but Amazon credited my account back and then just re-charged me later when they were found and back on their way.

These are cute enough to use as “special” pencils. They sharpen just like regular Ticonderoga pencils. I refuse to sharpen the pencils that have plastic on them. These are perfect!
