TEN YEARS!!!! Looking Back and Moving Forward

I’m about to make like Jeremy Piven up in here as we’re looking back at ten years of blogging.

TEN YEARS, MAN!!!

TEN!!! YEARS!!!

Before we start getting all misty eyed looking back at all the amazing and less than amazing posts this blog has produced over the past ten years, I have exciting news!

Not only is this my 10 year blogaversary, but it’s also the day the book I contributed to comes out:

Looking Back, Moving Forward - Bumptabulous

I would love if you picked up a copy of Bumptabulous, and I’d love it even more if you’d read it! The gal who put it together asked 20 of us funny muhmuhs to answer the same 5 questions about all things pregnancy.

Knowing it was a light hearted book being written by a slew of funny gals… It was almost like it was a comedy competition where I got to bust out my A game. I haven’t read the edited book yet, but when I do I’ll be sure to post some excerpts. When the schedule calm down a little, I’ll also be doing a giveaway for a free copy.

So yes. Ten years of blogging has led to book contributions! This is progress!

But let’s look back at some stellar bits from the past ten years. Are you read to go in the wayback machine?

My First Blog Post Ever

(November 23, 2002)
Short, sweet and to the point.

All The Broken Things In My Life

(February 27, 2003)
Ah, my early 20s. When I’d drive my car into the ground because it sounded too expensive to fix. This post was also written the day Mr. Rogers passed away.

100 Dudes I Liked in 2003

(July 14, 2003)
This is embarrearing, but also hilarious.

The Start of the Haiku Hoedown

(August 29, 2005)
The location of my blog has moved a few times since I started writing it, and you’ll notice most of my old posts are missing things like titles, images, and comments. Somewhere along the line, I lost all those things in the oldest posts. This post is the one that makes me the saddest, because my Haiku Hoedown graphic was AWESOME.

Freeze Frame

(November 28, 2006)
We were fresh from our wedding and honeymoon, and it was time to share some pics!

These Have Always Brought Me Luck – White Diamonds Edition

(October 29, 2008)
This is one of my favorite Halloween costumes to date. That night I walked around giving everyone handfuls of clear plastic rhinestones. But no one really got it. Which made it even more fun and random.

I’ve Had the Time of My Life

(September 14, 2009)
Our tribute to the then-recently passed away Patrick Swayze

I’M GONNA EAT YOU!

(June 29, 2010)
I’d like to tell you that as the years have gone by, my writing and blog graphics have gotten more refined.

I’d really like to tell you that.

My Huzz the Comedian

(May 14, 2011)
These jokes about stamp and coin collections come up every now and then and crack me up every single time.

Funny Draw Something Pictures

(May 17, 2012)
I haven’t played Draw Something in months, but maybe I should get back into it – that was some pretty funny stuff. What is the hip new iPhone game to waste my time with these days?

Thanks to all of you for reading for the past 10 years – here’s to 10 hundred more years!

And have you picked up your copy of Bumptabulous yet?
