The Road to El Dorado

We took a long hike Sunday afternoon on El Dorado Park’s nature trail. To save the 7 bucks on parking, we strapped on the baby carrier and a backpack full of snacks and walked from our house to the park. Then we walked the 2 mile trail for what I think is a four to five mile jaunt by the time we get back home.

It’s no secret that we dream about leaving southern California for someplace much greener someday… I love El Dorado park because when we’re there, it doesn’t feel like soCal. We’ve been transported to this great chunk of land that seems more like a hiking trail somewhere north of here. Trees, streams, crazy cool birds you strangely dont see anywhere once you leave El Dorado’s boundaries… It’s a nice little escape in the meantime.
