Today’s Peek in the Illustration Studio

Would you rather spend a ton more time working and reworking one tiny detail that probably doesn’t even matter, or would you rather move on with your life and work on something else like a badass? If you tend to get hung up on perfection, try the road less travelled. But stick with it – no fair looking at that piece forever and ever pointing out the one flaw you see that probably isn’t even that big of an issue. The world is so much bigger than that one brush stroke. I’m reminding myself of this today as I commit to moving on to the pizza sauce on the Pinewood Derby car I’m painting. (P.s. I actually did say this in a meeting at an apparel company once and I’m pretty sure I heard someone gasp. I wish I remembered what shirt we were working on at the time.)
