So excited to be participating in a local Authors and Artists Reception this weekend in Rincon, Georgia! With spring in the air, it’s a perfect time to get out of the house and to some local events, am I right?

The Authors and Arists Reception will be held Saturday from 2-6pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 301 N. Columbia Ave in Rincon. Know where Highway 21 is? Look for the church in between 9th street and the elementary school. Not Rincon First Baptist – the other side of the street. You’ve got it! That’s the one!
Admission to the Authors and Artists Reception is absolutely free!
I’ll be unveiling a brand new coloring sheet for the kiddos – the first 25 kids gets one! Here’s a sneak peek of one of the new sheets in progress:
Later this week, you’ll be able to pick up additional coloring book designs for FREE exclusively at Rincon’s Teach Right store on Highway 21 (in the Sonic shopping center near Wal-Mart.)

Freelance illustrator Steph Calvert is an award-winning artist with 24 years of experience working as a creative professional. She is based in McDonough, Georgia, just south of Atlanta.
Steph Calvert has expertise as a children’s book illustrator. She is an expert surface pattern designer for art licensing and creates line drawings for publishing and product design. Steph has years of additional expertise as a mural artist, creating original art, and logo design for small businesses. She is currently querying literary agents with her first author/illustrator book projects.

I love local events! I’m headed to the LA Times Festival of Books this weekend. My absolutely favorite weekend to nerd-out!
Dangit Wendy, this is literally the first year LA Times festival of books didn’t overlap my art college’s alumni weekend and I’m not even there to enjoy it! Have a blasty!
