Blank Books Galore!

We’re back with another set of book titles published recently by Chronicle Books! Today we’re skewing towards the written word – journallers, take note!

Love this Bon Voyage travel journal from Susie Ghahremani of Boy Girl Party! Every page is chock full of her fabulous illustrations, ready to accompany you on your next vacation getaway.

Blank pages abound with artwork along the edges, and other pages prompt you to record such events as new things you’ve tried, what you’ve read, who yo’ve met. Keep in touch pages at the back of the journal are perfect for getting the contact info of that cute boy you met while backpacking through Europe!

The centerfold (scandalous!) of this supercute travel journal is some pull-out postcards for you to send to friends!

The Drawing Nature journal by Jill Bliss may be one of my fave things I saw in this batch of new book titles. I love Jill Bliss’ illustration style, and that she’s so open and encouraging about getting others to pick up a pen or pencil and draw.

Inexperienced artists will gain so much from Jill’s easy exercises, and more experienced creatives will benefit from trying them out as well. I love blind contour drawing. I also totally suck at it.

Jill Bliss’ awesome drawings are featured throughout the journal, and all I can say is yes. Love it. Awesomeness abounds!

Thisย Happy Trailsย blank book features a felt cover and artwork by Suzy Ultman. It’s lightweight, and would fit nicely in your purse for jotting down important notes to yourself as you’re out and about.

Did I tell you I’m a sucker for cute endpapers? I totally am. The only thing I would change about this journal? I wish the cover was reuseable – such cute art on the fabric cover, it’d be neat to be able to refill the notebook when it was full up.

Which of these journals strikes your fancy the most? Don’t forget to leave a comment to enter this week’s giveaways; click here to read all the details!

  1. I’m very interested in the Drawing Nature book. It looks like so much fun, and it might be inspiration for me in attempting to draw nature images for some invites I’m working on.

  2. I met Susie and Jill at Felt Club long ago… I’m glad to see they’re still making beautiful art. I have one of Jill’s Calenders she made with Saelee Oh. Beautiful stuff.

  3. Totally! I’ve loved both those gals’ work for years! It makes me happy to see they’re doing so well in terms of getting their art out there.
