Do You Know the Way to Cheddar Bay?

Show of hands, who out there hearts Red Lobster?

The highlight of dinner every time we go is those mutual fundin’ Cheddar Bay Biscuits. The cheesy chunks of heaven find their way into our mouths by the dozen; when we can’t shovel any more into our gullets, we ask the waitress for juuuuuust one more basket that we can stuff in our pockets for later Napoleon Dynamite style snacking.

The only problem? Red Lobster is a little spendy for our budget, and we can’t always get there when we want to escape on a kayak on a sea of cheese biscuits.

But, my friends. BUT. Last weekend I found a recipe. On the internet. And that recipe promised a Cheddar Bay Biscuit experience so ridiculous it would leave you in cheese bread rehab.

Okay, maybe it wasn’t that extreme.

But that recipe was darn good. Click here for a link for the instructions on how to make your own little bit of Cheddar Bay nirvana!

  1. Ok so, I’m a bit late to the party on this one but, my husband LOVES Red Lobster. The only problem is, there isn’t a Red Lobster within 40 miles of where we live. Lobster isn’t quite as ubiquitous on the West coast as it is back East.

I am soooo making these later this week. That’s all I’m saying. Unfortunately, they will most likely be served with roast chicken and not lobster, because of aforementioned lack of lobster ubiquity, and because I am allergic to sheckfish and if I eat a lobster, it won’t stay in my stomach for long. You’re welcome for that last visual bit there.

  2. Dude!! For whatever reason I can’t handle too much lobster at all – it’s just too rich for me to handle or something… more than a few bites and I get all barfy, if we can share slightly gross visuals. I don’t actually throw up, but I definitely clap the hand over the mouth like regurgitation is emminent!
