Crafts for Sick Kids – Cool Color Changing Robot Light
Crafts for sick kids isn’t necessarily something I would make plans for, but man did it save my bacon this afternoon!
Phil’s been laid up sick on the couch since Sunday, and normally that’d be just fine by him. Because you know what a sick day means for a little kid? A bajillion hours of their favorite programming on PBS Kids. The only problem is he’s been sick for days. And even he’s had enough of Calliou.
That’s when I remembered the Color Changing Robot Lightcraft kit I had found on sale a while back and tucked away for a special occasion.
Phil’s a tad young for this particular craft kit, and that coupled with his sick boy ennui meant I handled most of the assembly. But he was really excited to put the lights assembly into place and add the stickers and paint.
My favorite part of this is the moustache. You thought it was a mouth, didn’t you? Me too, but Phil set me straight. I like the way that kid thinks.
what ideas do you have for crafts for sick kids?
Cuz I’ll be honest, I’m pretty sure Phil’s not gonna be 100% tomorrow.
