Our Illustrator Postcard has Gone to Print!

I’m always down to show you what I’ve been workin’ on – today it’s our very first illustrator postcard!

I didn’t really do New Years Resolutions this year. Instead, I decided each month I’d come up with a different work-oriented goal to accomplish. For January, that goal has been pimping out my illustration skills. I’m getting my work in front of publishers in hopes of doing more print work for magazines and books.

Dream projects include: childrens books, coloring books, custom kids menus for restaurants, spot illustrations for magazine articles, custom invitations, and pretty much anything my wonderful clients (you!) can throw at me.

This month’s goal is shaping up pretty great – last week, I got my first batch of illustrationย tear sheets finished up. Yesterday, I created my first illustrator postcard:

ย I wanted something that was eye-catching and fun for my illustration promo postcard. I had to ask myself a few questions. What was a piece I had done that was super “pinnable” in the real world? What would someone actually tack up in their cube because it was just so darn cute and welcoming?

This pug drawing I did for an apparel client a couple of years ago seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Teamed up with a chunk of hand drawn font from another project, add a dash of humorous word bubble, and winner winner chicken dinner!

Know Someone That Needs Our Illustrator Postcard?

We are actively looking for new illustration clients! If you or someone you know is in the publishing or apparel world, please contact us. We’d love to send ourย illustration tear sheets and get y’all on the mailing list for our future illustrator postcards!
