last night’s pants off dance off

I just wanted to let you know, last night Josh, Gayle and I ventured to Cowboy Country in Lakewood for the first time. and it was awesome, and we’ll probably go back.

they attempted to teach a group of us two line dances, and we attempted to learn… but honestly most of the dance floor looked pretty lost. it kinda boggles the mind how line dancing works. theres specific dances with wacky names (we learned “the nick” and the “chill out”) that go with particular songs, and if youre really good you know which dances go with what. thanks to the 80s, lamele and i could join in when we recognized people doing the electric slide, but other than that uhhh i think we need more practice.

later the band Hill Country from san diego started playing, and they were really good! we saw that the Western Continentals also play there from time to time, too, so we’ll be back. hopefully we’ll learn an easier line dance next time.
