So this is what today looks like. Not so great when you’re trying to work on web design.

Bluehost had a major outage today, and it has people thinking – should I switch web hosts?

I personally don’t think so. The one thing to remember with the internet is there’s almost no chance of finding a host for your site that is up 100% of the time. No matter where you go, technical issues will come up. It’s the nature of the internet.

So if you’re on Bluehost, I don’t think you need to jump ship. The second they knew there was a problem, they were on it. This particular outage took hours to fix, but they were responsive with their Twitter account in letting people know a fix was on the way. I’ve been on Bluehost for years, and I’ve always been impressed with their customer service and tech support. The cost is reasonable as well. So stay put!
