A Funny Conversation: How Old is Phil?

This funny conversation cracks me up every single time we have it.

Phil’s got a solid handle on holding up two fingers to tell you how old he is.

But even better, I made a joke with him once while we were doing that. I said “how old is muhmuh?” and then I opened and closed my hands repeatedly to tell him how many fingers I was. He learned that joke, took it to heart, and incorporated it into his repetoire of cute toddler tricks.

So let’s ask the expert: How old is Phil?

We were at a church dinner last night, and Phil was talking up a couple sitting next to us. They asked him how old he was, and then I think the dad asked him how old his mom was. His wife was mortified; I told her NO IT’S OK! Phil can answer that!

He proceeded to open and close his hands over and over.

This kid is the best. All these jokes that he adopts from Josh and I, and even more that he comes up with himself… It’s pretty amazing. And he’s come a long way from last year, where comedy to him was hanging a spoon out of his mouth!

What other party tricks can I teach him?
