Fashion Video: The Wardrobe Code Peeks in Our Closet

We don’t have talky pictures on the blog very often, so I’m excited to share this brand new fashion video!

Nicole Longstreath from The Wardrobe Code is producing a new fashion video series called “Make Your Wardrobe Mingle” on YouTube, and in episode 1 you get to take a peek in my very own closet!

This was a really fun process. Nicole sat down with me and asked what my issues were with getting dressed.

I told her how my jeans and t-shirt uniform was getting old, and I wanted to kind of pump up the volume (thanks Christian Slater!) and start looking more professional. I stressed how important it was to have outfits that looked good but still let me run around the house to do chores, because as a work at home mom I am on the computer, running to the kitchen to grab lunch for Phil, running out to the garage to do laundry and feed chickens, I’m just always on the move and my clothes have to allow for that.

I feel like she really accomplished that in the outfits she created out of things I already owned! She came up with 3 work outfits, 1 for a client meeting or networking event, and 1 for a date night with Mr. Joshnigel, and every one was spot on. I really loved working with Nicole on this whole idea of making my wardrobe mingle!

And just like any good video, there’s an outtake at the end where I’m laughing like crazy:
