Summer of Art Inspiration Part 7: Farm and Americana Art
One thing that’s pretty easy to find in Effingham county thrift stores and consignment shops is art inspiration for farm or americana type themes. Here’s a few choice tidbits from our adventures!
This is the kind of thing where I really want to believe this is a vintage feed sack that someone cut and framed.
But my jaded cycnical side wants to know if this was picked up at Hobby Lobby.
Just kidding I don’t really have a cynical side.
But I’m still curious if this is really vintage or not.
I love when folks use old window frames as part of their decor… I just haven’t done it yet. If there’s no glass in the panes, wouldn’t it be cute to use one in the garden and let your peas or something grow up it like a trellis?
The hand lettering on the Rise and Shine sign is great, and I’m digging the simple but fun shape of the rooster, too!
That americana heart quilt piece of wall art.
Slam dunk way to work in tons of little coordinating fabrics.
And check out this cute vintage looking piece of cow folk art.
Check it out if you’re not too freaked out by the big ugly head in the lower left corner of the photo, that is.
