Logo Design Project – Urban Missionary 912
Urban Missionary 912 is an evangelical ministry that’s all about reaching out to people in Savannah, Georgia.
They were looking for an edgy logo that was a little out of the box for a religious endeavor, which was a great challenge. I loved the layout concept Richard Burkhalter provided – the guy’s got a clear vision of what his new project is all about, and it really came across in our conversations!
This logo project was a great example of the client having the original idea, and bringing me on board to make it a professional-looking reality. I received a mockup of a clipart skyline with a very basic sans serif font, with a widely used script across the bottom. My job was to brush things up a bit, make sure everything lined up super nice, and give this baby some grit.
I created a variety of logos for Urban Missionary 912. They were super partial to the verison with the bricks on it, but any super embellished logo has got to have versions that are more scaled back for other applications outside of web or full-color print. I created a flat 1 color version of this that’ll work great for screenprinting later on, and there’s both vertical and horizontal options based on what their needs for any particular project are.
Plus, dig that tiny favicon version in the upper right corner.
Dig it.
